Dr. Mady's visit to Huíla province and distribution of Dignity Kits

Dr. Mady Biaye, Resident Representative of UNFPA in Angola, visited the province of Huíla, where he follows an agenda of programmed activities.

This time, the maximum representative of UNFPA in Angola, participated in a field activity in the commune of Jau, municipality of Chibia, where he maintained contact with some entities, namely: the Provincial Director of Social Action, Family and Women's Promotion, Catarina Sebastião, the Deputy Administrator, technicians health, civil protection and local traditional leaders.

During the activity, 700 dignity kits were distributed, with 48 dignity kits delivered by Dr. Mady, to a specific group of teenagers, with whom he talked about “Adolescent pregnancy and its consequences, GBV (gender-based violence ), early pregnancy, family planning and on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV during the activity, which was attended by young and adult women from the municipality of Chibia.

Dr. Mady Biaye, UNFPA Angola Representative, visiting Namibe province, shared the results of UNFPA-Angola's work in 2020 with the Deputy Governor for Social and Economic Area, in a courtesy meeting highlighting the importance of strengthening of the health system through CERF and the Sexual and Reproductive Health Response projects implemented in the preference. Dr. Mady also paid a visit to the Hospital Materno Infantil in the municipality of Moçâmedes.
